How often do you feel stuck or unable to do things you want to do?
How often do you hold yourself back from doing what you want to do because you’re scared of the unknown, being judged, failing?
After decades of taking leaps of faith, risks, etc. (like moving across the country to go to college at 18 or study abroad in Spain at 21 or move to Australia at 30 – without my family of origin, quitting my 8-year paralegal career to start my own businesses), I still find myself feeling stuck or hold myself back from taking action.
I am human.
I doubt myself.
I make up catastrophic stories in my head.
I allow my world to feel like it’s falling apart and fall apart emotionally.
And once I ride this emotional wave, which so happens to be how I process life (Human Design – emotional authority here), I find so much calmness, clarity and then I take inspired action.
After going deep into the heavy crap and shadows, I emerge filled with light and strength.
But it wasn’t always this way.
In the past, whenever I’d find myself triggered, living out what felt like an apocalypse, I would act on impulse and either get myself into more trouble, create more drama, or I would just numb out with food until I would find myself making myself throw up (yes, bulimia was one of my unhealthy coping mechanisms) and find myself repeating this stuff over and over.
About 4 years ago, I learned about, and then became a certified practitioner of, the Aroma Freedom Technique.
This modality taught me a new way to process emotions, thoughts, feelings that were holding me back, kept me stuck and unable to take action, in a more aligned and healthy way.
I stepped into my power, began to speak my truth, and healed relationships with family members.
I tapped into financial abundance like I never imagined before, growing a million-dollar company during a global shut down.
I had to share with the world and soon, began to do group and 1:1 sessions and helping women and men heal and transform their lives.
I once again used AFT to process the traumatic emergency caesarean that I had with Lily, which was the reason I held myself back from having another child, and reclaimed my birth when I free-birthed Archie on my own without any medical support or pain relief in my bathroom floor.
After taking a break to focus on motherhood with two little ones, and continue to work through more childhood trauma and much more (who doesn’t like peeling onions?), I decided it was time to get back into another one of my passions and continue to help others transform their lives.
Once again, the thoughts and fears crept in, “No one is going to want what you have to offer. “You still haven’t “bounced” back, wait until you drop the extra 18 kilos to be more credible.” “You don’t have your life together, what makes you think you can make an impact and help anyone?” “You should just give up and get a “real job” like everyone else.”
And the list goes on…but thanks to this technique, I am able to still take inspired action, be brave and put myself out there, lead with my heart no matter how scary, because I believe in the power of this work and the impact this work will have on society.
If more of us did our work, through modalities like this one or others that work, stepped into our power, lived our full potential, we’d inevitably raise the vibrational frequency of the planet (or make this world a better world to live in), giving our children a better future to live in.
Happy people do good things in the world.
Let’s change the world together, starting with ourselves.
This is what my Step into Your Power – 3 Week Journey is all about. You and other like-minded women will embark on a sisterhood of true healing, where you support each other, cheer each other on as you rise together and step into your power.
We start Monday 13th at 10:30 am in Waikiki, Western Australia.
Are you with us?
With love and gratitude,
Dayan
